At the foot of the Zeeland Bridge until recently stood the three Vestas wind turbines of the Kats II wind farm. These turbines are currently being replaced by three larger Nordex models that will jointly supply energy for 24,000 households. The new wind farm will be known as Oostzeedijk.
The Verschoor wind team recently installed the first wind turbine using the Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom mobile crane.
